I threw it out and got a mini-mag. But again for the price not a bad little starter kit. The exacto knife is a nice touch, great for cutting straps and opening boxes of parts you are about to install. As soon as you see the tools you can tell they are thin and cheaply made. haha.Overall, 3 of 5 stars. The flashlight was laughable, it was so shoddy it didn't work brand new right out of the box even with brand new batteries.
When I first saw it I was like, "I'm never gonna use this." ironically I've used it as much as any other tool in the kit if not more. I guess for the price I can't complain too much. They certainly won't stand up to any sort of repeated punishment. From what I've heard the soldering iron doesn't last long either.It does have it's pros too though.
:P It also doesn't lock to prevent it from simply twirling around and not actually screwing the screw in. Defnitely a nice variety of tools and is very useful for many different projects. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who loves to build and repair PCs and was in need of a good tool set.I've tinkered with it myself a few times and the only real downside to this set is the large, yellow screwdriver with the interchangable tips doesn't hold or lock in the tips, so they usually fall out when we try to use it. There weren't any sort of instructions with it on how to use any of the "special" tools in there (such as the yellow screwdriver and how to get the tips to stay in it), so if you're not sure how something works or what it is exactly, you're pretty much just stuck with a tool that'll sit there and do nothing, which I guess isn't so horrible because if you don't know what it is, I guess you don't need it.
Well thought out product, some of the parts were a little cheap but all around it is a best buy for the money.
I cant speak for some of the parts as I didnt use all of them, and I left this kit there so it could be put to use after I was gone. The case worked well too in keeping everything in order. Took this tool kit to the heart of Africa and it did its job well. For the money, I think it cant be beat.
I would have prefer a black case for the kit but that's not even a problem. Great Buy. One of the tiny "silver" looking screwdrivers came apart, other than that, I am really pleased with the product. I really like the fact it came with a flashlight as well. I strongly recommend it to any Computer Technician. This is a really good item. It includes all the screwdriver heads you need: Philips, Torx, Flat, etc. I used the Soldering Iron and it also works fine.
